North County Hash  Every Saturday morning.   Saturday, November 21, 2009 10:00am
Saying good-bye to another area of North County before it goes under the developers bulldozers
Hare(s): DrZaius, ECT and in first week back from Iraq, SLOB*tastical
Location: Camino Del Sur and Del Sur (It's not on older TB maps, but I will walk you through it)
Directions: The start is the parking lot at the intersection of Camino Del Sur and Del Sur (and Del Sur doesn’t’ exist on older Thomas Brothers), but I will walk you through it. From the West, take 56 to Camino Del Sur. Go North 4.5 mile to cul de sac parking lot on right (Del Sur). The lot is exactly one mile past San Dieguito (aka Caminito SantaLuz Norte (which is even on older TB maps at 1169 A6). From the 15, you can take either Camino Del Norte (from South) or Rancho Bernardo (from North). Go west. Rancho Bernardo will merge into Camino Del Norte, continue west and the road becomes Camino Del Sur. The parking lot is 5.3 to 5.4 miles west of the Freeway (from either off ramp). The problem is that the lot is on the other side of the street and the only way to get there is to continue another mile to San Dieguito, make a U-turn and come back to the lot.
Thomas Bros: 1169 B4
Run Fee: $5
Trail type: (not specified)
Dog friendly: (not specified)
Notes:
Pretty r*n, with Eagle, Turkey and Chicken (walker) trails. Unless your dog has gators, I wouldn't take it on the Eagle. Parking is limited. There should be enough, but carpooling would be helpful. I asked SLOB over a glass of Stone if he would like to co-hare with ECT and me, and he said he would delay his flight to visit family for Thanksgiving for the opportunity. I'm grateful and touched.

The On-On-On will be at Kelly's Public House at the corner of Bernardo Center and Camino Del Norte. Shelia says hi to Mine's a Mini and welcums us all.

We're still doing Panties for Pride - collecting new panties for women just released from prison. Give them a fresh start in life (looking for XL this year).
