You’ve all been waiting for summer to arrive. Well, summer has been waiting for just the right time to make the scene; just the moment when its arrival will cause the most notice, the most sweat, and the most suffering. That time is now! Yes, Ididahog and PPI, seemingly oblivious to the usually furnace-like conditions of east county in August, are laying trail in Wildcat Canyon. Come run largely virgin trails (“virgin” being no absolute term at the Hash), see beautiful shiggy growing back from the Cedar Fire, and hoist a beverage in an unusual setting. Rough singletrack trails are appropriate for tough dogs. Trail surface may be hot on the paws, though. Not stroller friendly, though you can modify the course for strollers. Plan to carry water. Bring a whistle, damnit: NCH3 is a whistle hash!
