First Annual Cahuilla Mountain Music Festival

Location: Lake Riverside Estates, Riverside County
Directions: I-15 north to Temecula. South on Hwy 79 to Aguanga, then turn left on Hwy 371. LRE is about six miles in. Enter through the gate at the bottom of the valley: Lake Riverside Drive. (Do not enter the first gate at the top of the hill before the valley.) Lake Riverside Dr bears right from the entrance. Follow it toward the large granite-faced Cahuilla mountain. Lake Riverside Drive turns left and becomes Ironwood. From Ironwood, turn left on first real road: Tumbleweed Trail. Pull in at the second house on the right: 40253 Tumblewee Trail.

In association with Saturday's Return to Cahuilla Mountain Hash, this year brings the first Cahuilla Mountain Music Festival. OK, maybe "festival" is a bit of an overstatement. Well, maybe "music" is, as well. In any event, come up Friday evening and bring an acoustic instrument for some pickin' and grinnin'. Ididahog plunks the gitfiddle like a riot. PPI usually falls asleep. Bring your own beer and food, stay the night, and run the big trail in the morning.
