Location: Camp Pendleton
Directions: I-5 north to Oceanside Harbor Drive/Camp Pendleton exit at the north end of Oceanside. 7.3 miles from the Main Gate on Vandegrift Blvd to 11th St. (Fire station). Turn right, continue 1/2 mile to parking lot on left, just before the road curves to the right. Same start as last year.
Run Fee: $9.00

A-A, drive to B at Lake O'Neill. To Lake O'Neill, go back on 11th St. to Vandegrift, turn right, follow Vandegrift for two miles to Sta. Margarita Rd (traffic light), turn left, go 1/4 mile to Lake O'Neill Rd, turn right. Go 1/2 mile to picnic site on left.
Eagle trail about 6 1/2 miles
Turkey trail about 4 1/2 miles
Walker trail about 2 1/2 miles
To drive a car on Camp Pendleton you must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and current registration.
Base regulations say dogs must be on a leash at all times.
If the gate sentry asks your destination tell them you are going on a fun run that will end at Lake O'Neill. If they ask about sponsors tell them: LtCol M.H. Collier USMC (ret), and CDR V.H. Krulak USN (ret).
