Toby never asked to be a hero. He never asked to be the salvation of hundreds of tiny dogs. But sometimes, when fate calls upon you, all you can do is take it by the balls - and neuter it.
Toby knew it had to be done. The coyotes had terrorized tiny dogs for years and years and this was not a mission that could be accomplished with fanfare or warning, It was his duty.
On this day we honor him and his conquest. Previously marked by the carnage of coyote carcasses, we regal in his feat with flour. We retrace his tiny footsteps, reveling in libations and screaming his name.
Join us in this festive occasion, which dozens of Yorkies, Pomeranians, Lapso Alpos, Pugs and most of all, Chihuahas proclaim as La Dia Del Toby, we shall call, our trail.
We retrace his footsteps and this will be a completely different trail than the Santa Hat Ho Ho Ho run.
Here's to you. Toby, Coyote Avenger.
