Follow the written directions. The run start is on the south side of the lake. Not at the campground as shown on the Google Map.
I-5 north to the Camp Pendleton exit on the north end of Oceanside. From the main gate, 9.3 miles on Vandergrift Blvd to the traffic light at Margarita Road. Turn left, continue 1/4 mile to Lake O'Neill RD., turn right and continue 1/2 mile to covered picnic area on the left. The usual place.

Happy 29th Birthday North County Hash House Harriers.
Another birthday, another outstanding Hash run on beautiful Camp Pendleton. Complete with free flowing Stone IPA and a catered meal. Kitty-Kitty and Mr Roarke have found some virgin shiggy for your running pleasure, and La Bufadora will again be at the beer check. The three of them together have over 3,500 NCH3 runs.
If you did not sign up in advance for this run you will not be allowed on the base, unless you have a military ID (active/reserve/retired/civil service), or ride with a driver who has ID. To drive on the base you are required to have a driver's license, current registration and proof of insurance.
When entering the base a sentry will ask to see, and will scan the driver's license (they may ask to see the passenger's ID as well). If they ask your destination tell them "Lake O'Neill", the event is "Running Club Anniversary". If they ask about a sponsor, tell them LtCol M.H. Collier USMC (Ret). Base regulations say dogs must be on a leash at all times.
