Address: Southern side of Friar's Road beneath I-805's easternmost pillar
Directions: You can't park on Friars Road. The closest street parking can be found on Rio Bonito Way. To get there from Qualcomm Blvd. head east at the intersection of Qualcomm & Rio San Diego. Go left at Rio Bonito and park. Friars Road is immediately to the north. You'll see the 805 when you get to Friars.

Notes:
There will be one trail that's about 4 miles long. It will be marked with chalk, flour & TP. In a couple of places the trail doubles back on itself so follow the marks on the right side of the road. There's even some shiggy and a couple of low fences to cross on the trail, but most of it is pavement some bring street shoes.

When you get to the top of the hill you'll go over a small bridge. If you're interested in seeing an exciting mural featuring scenes from San Diego's history duck under the bridge (it's blocked with some yellow tape that you easily avoid.) I'll mark the spot where you can run through the tunnel with the mural with the symbol VP.

I will be hiding some beer beneath some bushes next to the I-805's bridge's (easternmost pillar) in an old plaid shirt. NO PRELUBE LIBATION IS ALLOWED!!! Your hash lawyer has spoken! Video surveillance has been established! The beer is free; please recycle your empties or leave them in the bag. If you're so inclined leave a buck or two in the bag, I promise I won't raise an objection with the Hash Supreme Court. I'll collect whatever is left @ 2 p.m. While you're drinking your beer look up and admire Caltrans's monument to the internal combustion engine. Note: I'm only providing a short case of free beer. Finish the course before the homeless find the beer, or some other hasher(s) polishes them off!
