I get all the good days to hare, don't I? On this day, the anniversary of a horrible tragedy in a year fraught with plenty of it's own, lets not forget those that died on this day in 2001. Let's honor their memory by wearing Red White and Blue on trail. Anniversaries aside, this has been the shittiest year since 1918 and wouldn't it be great if it wasn't 2020 any more? Well it doesn't have to be and you don't need a time machine, you just need an Ethiopian Calendar. The Ethiopian calendar is a solar calendar based on the Coptic Egyptian and Julian calendars and was brought to Ethiopia by missionaries. The year consists of 12 months of 30 days and a thirteenth month of five or six timekeeping days. Based on the Julian calendar basis, the Ethiopian calendar is currently seven years and eight months behind the Gregorian calendar used in most of the world. And not only that, but September 11th is new years day. So happy new year 2013!!! Or as they say in Ethiopia "Enkuan Aderesachihu!"
Trail will be available to run at 5:oopm. Bring a mask for when you are near others and social distance. No circle but there will be a beer check and liquid refreshment after trail.
