Saddle Up: North County Campout — Spooky Lake, Spookier Liver
Cum one, cum all to Saddle Up, the first official North County Campout at California’s “most haunted” lake—because nothing pairs with ghost stories like bad decisions and light cardio. Our most infamous hares have plotted an epic trail with premium-grade shiggy, scenic mountain-and-lake views, and enough shenanigans to get us politely asked to leave.
Registration:
First 50 degenerates get in for $69 (nice) with camping included—if you actually pay like a responsible delinquent.
After that, you’re booking your own RV or tent site in the main campground at your own damn cost. Procrastination tax is real.
Rules, Sort Of:
Dogs allowed but leash your hellbeasts. Camp rules!
Fishing and boating? Hell yes.
Gear Notes:
Haunted Night Run = headlamp, blinkies, glow junk, and anything that makes you look like a disco raccoon fleeing child support.
Friday
2:00 pm — Check-In: Collect your wristband, excuses, and regrets.
4:00 pm — Keg Kraken: Release the barley beast. Hydration is important.
6:30 pm — Haunted Night Run: Welcome to Halloween month, where the ghosts mark better than our hares.
8:00 pm — Hashers, Unite! Potluck: Bring a heavy appetizer to share. “Heavy” as in weight or calories—we’re not judging your cheese brick.
Saturday
8:00 am — Grab-n-Go Breakfast: Fruit, granola, bagels, and the lie you tell yourself about “taking it easy today.”
10:00 am — Hares Away: They set trail like they set standards—low and confusing.
10:12 am — Hare Lies & Pack Away: Everything is “straight on” and “not that far.”
1:00 pm — Circle, BBQ Lunch, Beer & Shenanigans!: Also known as “team-building with heckling.”
6:00 pm — Dinner: Consume food like you didn’t already have six trail snacks and three “samples” from the keg.
Sunday
9:00 am — Basic American Breakfast: Coffee, carbs, and complicated feelings.
12:00 pm — Pack Your Shit & Go Home! Collect your hangover, your stray blinking thing, and your new ghost.
Pro tips:
Bring a camp chair, extra lights, dry shoes, and a sense of poor judgment. If you hear banjo music, that’s just the hares. Probably! If a spirit offers you a shot, say “On-on” and check for a check.
On-on to Saddle Up at the most haunted splash zone in California.
