Something a little different for NCH3
Come explore maybe a new area of North County to celebrate with the lovely Corny Bee. Dress in your most colorful attire for this FIESTA! Four pet friendly trails to choose from:
1 - Walkers, out as far as you'd like and back. See if you can spot eagles.
2 - Turkey #1, wanna feed ducks and catfish while circling a lake? About 3 miles and 1 drink check. *Safe for catfish - natural foods like insects, earthworms, snails, and small fish. They are omnivorous, so they also eat algae, plant-based foods, and cooked vegetable scraps. Safe for ducks - bring some peas, oats, lettuce, corn or tacos (oops, never mind, tacos are part of my diet)*
3 - Turkey #2, wanna find a hidden Zorro TV show mark while cruising a small part of El Camino Real and one of its missions. This trail is an out and back with 1 drink check, 2 if you're thirsty, about 3 miles.
4 - Eagle, 6-7 miles, 2 drink checks, 4 landmarks I find cool in our area.
ON-IN - pet friendly but please mind your pets. Do not block driveways, fire hydrants, or mail boxes. Stay off the grass. House driveway parking reserved for Bier Meister and Food Hare. Festive food by the fabulous Corny Bee.
ON-AFTER - immediately following circle, small entertainment will be provided so maybe bring an extra six pack (or drink of choice) and a couple dollars in cash (might come in handy but not necessary).

Cove to Cliffs is an urban adventure that will allow you to frolic in a tranquil garden and dip your toes in the sea but with an opportunity to tear your calves to shreds and get stuck in a gorge.
This is going to be 6 to 7 miles with a healthy bit of vert, but beautiful views abound. I'll be live laying and will drink a beer at each check to make things fair.
It's the beginning of May, so Tequilla shots for Cinco? Or a Star-Wars themed drink for May the 4th (Force) day?

Three trails: Turkey, Eagle, and Walker. Turkey and Eagle are 70% off road (trail shoes recommended). Turkey is under 3 miles, Eagle is less than 4 miles. Walker is less than 2 miles, and is basically on pavement.
Dog Friendly...? There are signs now in the park warning dog owners that dogs need to be on leash. It is also recommended your dogs be kept on leash at the On-In.

Listen up Hashers b/c I have some fun in store for you. Over the last year or so Snapdragon Stadium has been my go-to for collecting required daily steps. Not perfect but close to home, somewhat isolated and has pull up bars so is mostly a convenient place to burn calories. Definitely not an exciting hash space. But wait.. what if we turned those boring miles into a game of chance, choices and opportunities? What if you gambled on my daily grind and it ends up paying off BIG! Here's how it will go- TURKEYS will follow a 3.58 mile route with 3 Beer & H2o checks. YES beer and water. This is a hash. We run for beer not candy water. Plan accordingly. EAGLES will soar early with a 1.4 mile shiggy, hilly route to get warm and Frye those legs before rolling up on the Turkeys. BONUS card draw for extra effort. Additional mini opportunities to soar throughout the day! As with life the greater the effort the better the results. Send it!
All Hashers will be tasked to collect playing cards on trail and once we're back at Circle the best hand wins! Maybe worst hand and medium hand will win as well? That'll be worked out. Attitude and effort will go a long way. We have a growing table of prizes and rewards. Things you can use while making better choices like SD t-shirts, KT Tape, body glide, BIB holders and much much more. Theme and costume of the day is ordinary muggle. Bust out your Gym clothes and bring half a mind to try. We will blend in, look fun and leave everyone wondering how they can become a part of our next run. *this ain't my first cult people.
