Happy Birthday! America's finest fighting force

The United States Marine Corps

Help celebrate the 237th birthday of the Corps at beautiful Camp Pendleton. Eagle trail about 7 miles, Turkey trail slightly less than 5 miles, and a chicken trail of about 3.25 miles. Gentle hills and sweeping vistas await you on this grand day.
"A" to "A", drive to "B". "B" is located at Lake O'Neill at our customary spot. From the start turn left on Vandegrift Blvd. Go ~1.9 miles to the 5th traffic light at 16th St./Rattlesnake Canyon. Turn left, go ~1.2 miles to the traffic light and turn right. Go to the next traffic light and turn left toward the hospital and Lake O'Neill. Go .25 miles and turn right into the Lake O'Neill Recreation Area. Our reserved covered picnic site is .50 miles on the left.
Mojo promises great Marine Corps chow. Of course Psycho will provide fantastic beer.
Camp Pendleton regulations say dogs must be on a leash at all times.
To drive on Camp Pendleton you must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and current vehicle registration. Consider car pooling.
If the sentry at the gate asks, tell him you are going to the Paintball Park for a Marine Corps Birthday fun run, and after the run to Lake O'Neill.
If they ask about the sponsors tell them LtCol M.Collier, LtCol G.Eckhoff and Maj J.Cooke, all USMC retired.
