Directions: The start and finish is 1601 San Elijo Rd (the entrance to the recycle facility, not Fallsview park). Parking is somewhat limited at the start (also a trailhead for the Rancho La Costa Preserve), do not block the gates to the recycle facility! There is an Albertsons shopping center just up the road with plenty of over flow.

Psycho, Black Cock Down (virgin hare), and a mystery Hare have a challenging (distance and altitude) set of trails to celebrate the 245th Anniversary of the founding of the United States Marine Corps! We are providing W, T, & E trails with one beer check for the walkers and two for the turkeys and eagles. The trails will be ready to start by 0830, but if you're fast you might catch a hare! The walker is about 3 miles, the turkey is 5.2, and the eagle is 7.3; there are two T/E splits, the first provides more altitude and about 1.2 miles of distance, the second another .9 miles. If the weather is drizzly/wet, the eagle will require extra caution - single track with rocks and descents)! The first beer check will be manned from 0930 until 1100, the second from 1000 until 1130. There is a third special beer check for all that will require $3.00 exact change and manned from 1100-1300 (11:00 - 1:00 for civilians). There will be a traditional USMC Birthday celebration at 1200. The weather predictions keep changing, if it trends to more rain, check to see if there is an inclement weather (not nice at all) plan posted. Be prepared for cool and damp!
